Healthcare providers often specialize in different areas of health. Primary care is specialized in general medical and family medicine. Although they have training in mental health, many are not specialized in mental health. Similarly, most mental health specialists are not extensively trained and specialized in general medicine practice, or cardiology etc. Having your care team working collaboratively will produce the best outcomes.

It’s often a hard journey to find a provider that is the right fit. Different mental health providers have different levels of experience and comfort with certain diagnoses and/or medications and can often specialize in certain diagnoses. Just because one provider wasn’t the right fit, does not mean all of them will not be able to help. If we eat at a restaurant and were unhappy with the experience, we don’t stop eating at restaurants all together, we search for another that we feel would be a better experience.

Feeling overwhelmed is common, but if it’s affecting your daily life, it’s worth seeking help. At Light Side Wellness Co., we can help you manage your emotions and improve your focus, so you can live a happier, more productive life.

We understand life can be busy, which is why we offer flexible scheduling and telehealth options to fit your lifestyle.

Even if you’re dealing with mild symptoms, early intervention can prevent them from worsening. It’s worth exploring how our services can help.

In many cases by treating our mental health through medication, it can actually help prevent addiction as it helps prevent reaching for other substances to self medicate.

In most cases, by treated ADHD early, it can help prevent future addiction issues and prevent self medicating with other substances. There is research that suggests that 50% of adults who have not had their ADHD as a child actually have a substance use issue in their adulthood, so early intervention is key to help prevent addiction issues.
